1970 marked the debut of the 454/390HP engine. This is an original 454 equipped Convertible, now sporting a non-numbers matching 1970 block. This car was ordered with few options, with exception of the powerful 454 Turbo-Jet V8 & 4-speed manual transmission. We have a partial tank sticker for this car. The interior boasted a significant re-design of the seats for added driver comfort. This car maintains the original fiber-optic indicators as well as the auxillary vacuum controls underneath the dash. Closer inspection of the exterior will reveal a number of paint flaws along with a slight coloration difference from a previous re-spray. A new professional paint job would bring this car to an entirely new level. The car shines well and looks nice as it is. The front chrome bumper is straight and in good condition. These clear indicator lenses are specific to 1970 model Corvettes. The latter "smog year" bumper cars received Amber lenses. The rear end displays the correct exhaust bezels & tips along with nice lenses and the factory license plate bezel. This car was also ordered with the rear luggage rack.
